Christmas Break....

Christmas break is almost here, and i've been trying to get out of here before christmas. But the weather and the difficulties I'm having. I'm glad christmas break is here but I'm sad inside because I always wanted to get out of here before christmas. But there is still a chance I'll be leaving:-). There isn't much to say about christmas break, but glad it's here.

Living A Good Life...

Living a good life is what's best for us young people now-a-days because a lot happens to a teenager when they finally realize and start to face the world. It's hard to have a good life as a young teenager or a young adult, problems start at a young age, not much but enough to hurt them pretty much. When young people get hurt like this it's best for the parents to listen and do what they think they want to do about it. Adults think us young people don't know the world yet and don't listen to what we want to change things before it's too late. Living a good life is a fantasy to people. It's a dream that teenagers and adults think that it can happen. Living a good life is just a phrase, there's no such thing as living a good life with out any problems. But there is a place that is true about this phrase. Heaven is what that phrase is true with. Nothing else but heaven.

I'm Thankful For.....

The things i'm thankful for are: my grandparents, parents, brothers and sisters, relatives, girlfriend:D, school (kinda), and yupik culture. Those are the main things I am thankful for because I mostly care for them and do my best to work or love them as much as I love and care for myself. But I love somethings more then I do love myself, because they either changed my life or did something good for me to live life better:D. thats what i am really thankful for.

Living the Eskimo Ways

Now-a-days we Yupiks' are loosing our culture and our respect for our surroundings. We are also loosing the habbits of what our ancestors beliefs were: they're way of living, they're way of showing respect towards the land, people, even they're homes and families. We yupiks' need to step up and bring our background information back, cause once its gone it's gone, theres no way to turn back. I know there is reasons for us not to do these things: eskimo dancing, telling stories (story knife, string stories), living the old ways, hunting, fishing, etc. But we need to take those chances and make our "yupik" culture a more understandable peice for the outside world, we need to show them what we are and who we came from. I know i don't like to dance but i sure want to keep the other things in place, like: old way of life, hunting, fishing, trapping (all the ways of hunting) and the rest of they're hobbies. So lets help one another and keep our culture alive and healthy for our ancestors and for the people around us.

Halloween

This past weekend wasn't really good for me. I didn't want to work because i didn't want to miss out on what i like doing. but it was aight, i had fun, at times. I'm happy i worked because, my weekend took a long time to pass by, and thats what i really wanted. I wanted to take time off school and work to rest. Also i am happy that i got sick for couple days:-). I know it sounds dumb but it helped me take time off and rest. Anyway, my weekend was.....you can say it was the best for me. :-)

Life: Fast Forward or Slow Motion?

Slow Motion because life is too short and i wanna recognize and do what i dream or what i feel in my life. I want to learn a lot more then i want to, also i wanna reach my goals i dreamed of getting. I'm only 16 and i think of a lot to reach, but life is too short for all these goals i wanna reach. On the other hand, i want all these things i do: school and teenage life to go fast so i can accomplish more stuff that i dream of doing. But make life longer and slower for me to recognize these goals. Both work for me but i see these two topics in a way......:-)

The things i care about are: family, friends, yupik culture/language, hunting, school, and life.
