The river and lakes here are freezing up a lot faster then usual. I didn't like it because there was some things i wanted to do before it starting freezing up. This year is a lot dumb and cheap then last year, because a lot of the things we get off the land are faster and less then the past. See what's next year........maybe worse...

akleng - sorry freeze-up came earlier than you wanted. I was sort of relieved that it didn't take forever, but I can see how it would have been nice if it had waited.
Are there some subsistence activities that you can't do as well when it freezes (well, I guess besides nets)?
